I have many knives, very few with serrations. I think serrations have their place. I wish we still had the ESEE forum but I hope some of the guys are here in general. What's the thinking on the ESEE 3 and 4 serrated models. Is there a place? Are they pointless? General purpose? Too much of a niche?

its an interesting question. I find for my EDC needs, serratons rarely, if ever, are required. That being said, I've been in few situations where serrations would have been handy.
I like the idea of the 3 serrated model my own self, im tempted to pick one up, but i don't see myself ever pullin the trigger on one. For my day to day its definitely too much of a niche function for me. No i dont think they're pointless, just not for everyone.
Quick aside, i wish the ESEE forums was still around my own self. I used to read it all the time before i registered an account here.
