Notice a lot of Beckers stripped and polished in posts on this board, but did search and haven't seen/found any shot of an ESEE strip teased!.

Kind of wondering with amount of green I am slowly scraping of what my Orange G10 ESEE-4 will look like if I went that way.

If this is criminal act for a future Pack member tell me know please,,hehe

I'm surprised you couldn't find any stripped ESEE's. I thought there was a whole thread dedicated to them. Plus plenty of incidental shots of them as well.

God bless,
Adam

Very nice Izula. If you don't mind me asking, how did you obtain that patina?
I really like the look of it.

Thanks, I am in the process of stripping my Izula as well.

If you can copy me on that thread I couldn't find it. I want to see a polished ESEE 3,4,5 blade

Fuzillade,

The patina was done by soaking a wash cloth in white vinegar and wrapping it around the stripped knife. Make sure you give the thing a light sand before you do it. I thought there was a second layer of stuff on the blade, but it turns out that they kind of micro texture the steel. When you try and patina it before a light sanding you just get a nice light red rust over the entire knife.

Niagara,

I'll try and find that thread... We'll see what happens.

God bless,
Adam

Just to state the obvious -- it's the one on the bottom (don't have a pic of my stripped 4 yet):

This is the only picture I have of my stripped 3 - sorry about the picture quality.

Also my stripped ESEE H.E.S.T., although you didn't ask for it.

Has anyone who has stripped a blade had any problems with corrosion or rust?
They look damn good, but I like the peace of mind with a coated blade.

My logic for post is after you use blade for a while the protection wears off. I would rather clean a high carbon polished blade and keep it oiled.

My Fallkniven http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fObcnnUIKhg and CS San Mai blades look smoking this way!

Clearly as I guessed many others as well had gone my way. If you look at Beckers many are polished aftermarket on that forum.
