Sorta borrowing this from Saddleback Leather's idea...and please forgive if it's been done here before.

Thought a thread about us taking our ESEE's some neat places might make for good "eye candy" for all to see/share. Maybe we'll learn of some good places close to each of us, or some cool place to go far away and visit. ;)

Yesterday, my son and I rode 91 great miles on our dirt bikes on Mt Magazine. (Paris, AR) The place has over 200 miles of trails if anyone is interested - some can be pretty technical, but lots of simple stuff too.

It's also the highest point in AR.

I rode with the Izula on my neck all day and since we took a new guy who'd never been to the top, we walked the quick hike (15 mins maybe) to the top from the lodge.

Here's the sign - that's my son holding the Izzy:

and here's the actual "top" spot by survey:

what about it? got some cool shots of some travels? lets see 'em!

Looks great man! Especially cool that you don't get kicked out of the woods for riding. I'd like to see a pic from that peak looking out over the world next time. Thanks

I belong to 3 off road clubs - 2 for the jeeps and one for the MX. I go to every rally, meeting, or whatever I can, if I am available. If you love something like this...you better defend it.

Moab is DEFINED by "lions back"...and now you can't even drive across it anymore!!!! Here, we've lost thousands of miles of trails in national forests...but thank goodness...thru being active...we have kept a lot open too.

We do woods and trail clean ups -just like I do stream clean ups with canoe groups. Funny thing is...I collect more "fuel cans" and "tuna-can alcohol stoves" than anything...and those tree hugger-hiker only-no campfires-love mother earth types - they leave all that crap behind...and then I come along with my 4x4 rig and haul out all their trash!

sometimes when I'm cleaning up after 'em... I make a quick campfire and a pot of coffee...in their honor, of course!

My latest is one of my favorites. Me and the boy had a fun weekend while the wife was out of state. Just went to Western Hills/ Sequoyah state park. Had a picnic, went to the nature center and visited some animals in rehab then took to some nature trails. No big adventure but good times with my son!

Glad to see that you guys are able to spend some time in the great outdoors with the family. There are many beautiful sites to see out there and many wonderful lessons to learn and teach the young ones.

How on earth could you do such a terrible thing! Dead wood has rights too you know! It's people like you who respect and enjoy the outdoors that ruin it for everyone else! And think about all that carbon dioxide that those fires make which the trees and plants around them convert into oxygen! YOU MAKE ME SICK!

God bless,
Adam

S-7 - cool awesome Eagle shot - man, your boy will love that pic for a long time!

jumpmonkey - funny! :)

This is a great idea. Could one of the mods make this into a sticky. The places should have some type of identifying info in them like the sign in the OP too.
