If anyone is interested, you can go to Rocky National to pre-order the Becker/ESEE/KaBar collaboration for $30. To be released sometime around 25SEP10.

At 30 bucks those might sell pretty well. Hard to switch to anything other than the straight ESEE warranty though.

For European fans, I am trying to get them from Ka-bar for you guys, watch this space

An Izula is just a few dollars more, you get the real thing, the best warranty....
I'm sure it will sell at $30, but I wouldn't be a buyer.

I have to disagree - that looks like a winner to me and Toooj/Ethan take good care of folks.

So, will kabar offer after market scales that are full length and just might fit the Izula? Yes please?

What do you mean, "get the real thing". This eskabar is a collaboration between esee and kabar, its real as it could get. Also, it wasnt designed to replace the izula, it was a combo of the izula and bk11.

you guys are all over it, aren't ya! :)
This joint effort - Is it branded by ESEE? Will it be backed by ESEE? Same warranty? If so, then great....but that's what I was saying.

FOR ME - and that's JUST for me - It's not a buy. FOR ME.
...and it's just not something I'd buy...and I think that's what I posted....

I think what we're trying to say is that they are other knives than ESEEs around that are just as good. The warranty for them is second to none. But think about it, since you had knives, how many have you broken or needed to be taken under warranty?

That's cool mate some are just into one thing at the time and there is nothing wrong with that either.

To me if two great knife designers can take from each other's product the best out of it to give us a perfected design, I am all for it.

spoken like a true international spokesman, Monsieur!

I should have restrained any comment at all for a knife that does not interest me.
This is one of two forums I try to "play nice" on anyway. :)

Glad for anyone that likes anything....hope everyone enjoys what they get.
