The way the spine flows up and drops down to meet the tip on this blade reminds me of Ed Fowler describing the modified Michael Price grind he uses on his Pronghorn knives.Almost like a Loveless semi-skinner or Tim Wenger hunter. And at first I thought with the handle being so small and the blade so wide that under heavy use it would tend to twist in your grip, but as me and Moose was talking about the other day the downward angle of the grip gives more control over torque than a straight handle would. This knife just continues to impress me.it would do to ride the river with.

First, you've actually seen Moose?!! He's alive? Tell him to send up a signal flare once in a while.
Second, the Eskabar is one of my favorite Beckers. I have three of the 14's and a couple of the 24's. Just a great collaboration.
I couldn't get your link to work, or I would have fixed it in your post. Tried all kinds of combinations.

I fixed it finally, and yes ain't it a swell little blade as the Beaver woulda'said.Yes Mousse is alive but he is kinda like a hot house flower, he flourishes under optimal conditions and has a mind like a steel trap. But lack of sleep has kind of regressed him, I've taken to calling him Karl, as in Karl Childers. He now likes mustard biscuits, thinks to himself that he would like some more of that potted meat, and coffee tends to make him a mite nervous. And he thinks of the simplest things first, mmmm huhhhh.

It's the one knife that always goes with me. One of my all time favorites.

I like the 14, and the 24. I love the 11 also. The 11 rides EVERYWHERE with me. The 14/24 rarely takes the place of the 11 but often rides with it.

I was thinking about this just yesterday. Moose remembers details with great precision.
And who wouldn't want some more of that potted meat?

I love mine. These are the first three Becker knives I got. I'm up to five now, with an 11 and a 9.

I kinda' dig my 24....

.....call 1-800-BAD-NAILS for French style manicures and Asian style manual cures.:D

Loving all these pics of the 14's. I am waiting on mine to come in supposed to be here Wednesday. Do you guys highly recommend ordering the handles? I just ordered paracord at this time, but the handles have caught my eyes the more I look around here.

The handles do make a difference without adding a crazy amount of bulk. I like them.

I think they look nice, and cant hardly beat them for the price too. I will order them after a while with the paracord.

It is a dandy knife and it is very reasonably priced.
I'll be adding some wood scales to mine but haven't decided on the wood yet.

There was a Moose sighting in the Citico Wilderness area just yesterday........ After being spotted, he shot the place up tried to set the woods afire and then, like the Lone Stranger(than fiction) he roared of into the sunset leaving all the witnesses to his behavior bewildered and aghast........

Alnamvet, I really like those TKC Izula scales. Do they fit the 24 without any modification?

Sounds about right.

That may be the best description of Moosez presence anywhere ever. You should write a book or something boss.

The 14 is a great sidekick! It's definitely a great entry level Becker for newbies, I've given a half dozen away at least.

Sitting in a Pennsylvania hotel, 3 hours from Olean..........

Eating "continental"........

Do love that BK14. I have the BK24 with me, as always..........

Sounds about right.

They do without mods; they are made specifically for the BK14/24, and come in several colors from t-k-c. A quick note, the Izula II scales by t-k-c will also fit the 14/24, but are about 1/2" longer and will cover the logos on the Becker.
