Just wondering... will KaBar come out with scales for the BK14? I know the Izulas will work with some modding. Just curios if any will come from KaBar similar to the Izulas or possibly like the Izula II?

Why the heck are you on the fence about buying the BK14? It is a damn fine necker and I have the Izula with the bikini macarta scales. I prefer it naked but I have been known to put some paracord on it. Just get one and you won't regret it.

The BK14 is def on my radar. Will probably order one within the next few days. Gonna cord wrap it. Thought about making some custom wood handles for it.

I recently got an Izula II and an Eskabar BK-14.

Both great knives, but I definitely prefer the Eskabar for it's BLADE... just would like micarta handles for it like the Izzy II has.

Are there any micarta handles that will fit the Eskabar?

I made some micarta type scales for mine, and I tell ya it's an awesomer knife because of the bigger handle now. If you can make 'em I say go for it. If you can't then you might have to settle for the Izula scales or a cord wrap.

MWTIC... what did you use for pins? And did you assemble/glue the handle and pins permanently? Or is there a way to use screws/bolts with fashioning your own.

I was in class at YouTube University last night learning how to make your own micarta handles and I'm thinking I may make a pair.
