Hey all.
Figured that since I now have both, I would do a little comparison to anyone who was contemplating the new Eskabar handles upon their release.
Here is how the 11 sits in my hand.
Three finger grip for me
Eskabar in hand.
Pinky out.
Side by side.
Measured handle widths through the center with a ruler and the necker was about 3/4" while the eskabar measured in at roughly 5/8".
With the handles, the necker is a 3 finger-blade, while the eskabar is about 3 1/2. That may not sound like much, but it helps make the 14 more comfortable. Also, without the cap lifter, the eskabar fills the hand more completely and doesn't leave hot spots. Both are great knives and aren't afraid to "Work for a Living".
Hope that helps you folks. If you have any questions feel free to ask
Also sorry about the crappy pics. Strangely my cell phone takes better pics in the shade than in the sun out in the woods.
