Hello XL Espada owners,
Can anyone distinguish if I have a flaw or does my spring need to break in?
I returned my first XL Espada g10 because the knife had bladeplay when using the hammer or saber grip with thumb on the jimping. and got another one.
Knife#2 wasn't as bad as the first one but still would "shift" or "wiggle" when holding it in the hammer grip or saber grip around the lockbar.
If I hold it in the extended pistol grip its rock solid but when I choke up on the handle where the lockbar is and maybe do a snap cut (like your actually gonna cut something) it will make a small "shift" feeling.
I'll be honest the knife is still usable and I won't consider another refund or exchange because its not a catastrophic failure situation and from the first knife's inspection from cold steel they said it was fine (I wanted PERFECTION, you know us knife guys..) .. I absolutely treasure my folding sword and want to know it will eventually break in.
Do any of you Espada XL owners have this issue? Most of the advice on the internet is "leave it open 90° for a few days for the spring to break in"
Any advice or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
