5 minutes on the 320 grit stone, and I now have a bald spot on my arm. Can't wait to get out and use it in the woods.

This was the first knife for me I've ever been able to get truly razor sharp. And I didn't even have to go to fine grit or strop! DAT 1095!! I'm going to strop it and shave with it tonight. I am sick of disposable razors and need to get a good straight razor but I don't know what to get.

Now my new grail knife is either the GSO 4.1 in 3V or the Bark River Bravo 1 Rampless in 3V.... the sickness continues!!

Image is not so great because I took it with my laptop's webcam.

The sheath is really great: tight fit, good belt clip.

The blade thickness (up and down, the 1.25" dimension) was a bit smaller than I thought it would be.
I may end up getting the ESSE-6 (or a similar blade) as well at some point.

I'm eventually going to strip the coating so I can use it for food prep, but right now it just looks really good.
I'm going to put some olive oil in a small dropper bottle and keep it with the knife.

Still need to locktite all the screws on the handle and the sheath.

The stone is a combo india stone... I need to clean it now.
The strop is just a thin piece of leather I got for free, with some chromium (III) oxide buffing compound on it.

post thumping: still shaving sharp. my only gripe is that the pommel is rounded so it's hard to pound on, but that's not such a big issue. one of the scales moved like half a millimeter while I was battoning it out of a piece of wood it was stuck in, but it doesn't matter to me and still feels comfortable. I wouldn't want to pound on the ironwood scales of a $250 BRKT...

for the price, $90, you can't beat it, except for maybe the bk2

You certainly don't have to worry about losing it in the woods with those colors!
