I was about to cord wrap this one in black when I remembered I had some of this tan colored cord availabile and decided to give it a try. It is not as wide as the black one, is softer to handle (or so it seems), and contrasted nicely with the wenge wood handle. Let´s see how it looks after the resin soaking. Blade is 5160 steel, aged with ferric chloride, 3 1/4" long.
Let me know what you think of this one.

wierd, because of the mixed japanese and skinner styles, but it looks really cool! good job on the wrap, i never could get the hang of it.

Thanks for your comments, gentlemen.
When I soaked it, it looked very clear, almost transparent on the top and bottom of the handle, when wet. I have not looked at it it after it dried, thought.

Ivan, Didn't know you had a little touch of Japenese in you. All this time I thought you were pure like IG..... :D Good looking knife! I'd like to see a picture of it after you did the resin.

Ivan it looks great, I like how you blend the styles and come up with a very functional piece.

Thanks for your comments, gentlemen.
Ray, I don´t think there is such thing "pure like IG'...:p
Here it is after the soaking. The cord reached a more yellowish color and got a bit translucent on the top and botton of the handle, adding an interesting effect to it. On the sides, it highlighted the dark wenge wood as expected - too bad you can´t see it because of the reflection.
