Just picked up a few old Schrades at an estate sale--mostly used and sharpened, but appear to be fairly old. One in particular is an old wood handeld SChrade marked Schrade Walden NY USA mod 822. What can you guys tel me about it......thanks in advance. Would love to post pics if I can figure it out.

Here is some info regarding the 822.

The 822 is a 4" Stockman, same frame as an 8OT. It made its debut in 1953, and ran until 1956. It's last retail price was $5.50. I think PROPWOOD is a resin impregnated wood handle.

If you follow down in the thread below, from the Levine Forum, there are some good instructions on posting photographs. It is easy once you get set up to do it, but it can be a challenge at first, depends on the person.

We all like seeing pictures on new acquisitions. Ask if you need help. You can send me a message or email.

I hear that brother! It took me a while too but it's easy once you figure out how. I use "Photobucket" to host all my images and then easily copy-and-paste the links they set up into my posts. Very easy. I'm sure you will get the hang of it but there is a learning curve if you are not used to posting in forums. Have fun!
