Damn that is NIIIICE.

What are the specs on it Scott including cost and a time frame to get one in 3v, if that's possible?

Thanks Mike. ;)
Mr.Pan, my wait right now is 4 to 6 weeks. Cost for a similar piece is $395.00. Sorry, no 3V. Would love to work with this steel but it's not cost effective for me to do so. I do all my own work in my shop, I don't like other hands involved in what I'm doing. That can cause nothing but problems.

Thanks Scott, no problem and I completely agree with you and know where you're coming from.

So what's the specs on it anyway?

The problem for me using 3V is that it needs a 1,000 degree temper 3 times. I would have to invest in a second kiln just to temper it.
It's 15" overall, 9 1/2" blade, 3/16" thick by 1 7/8" at the widest part of the blade.

Thanks Scott.

That's just what I have been wanting as far as size and shape goes, and I have NOTHING against A2 at all. I love it and have a few knives made from it.

Is there any chance of getting a picture of it looking straight down on it from the top? I just want to see the profile looking straight down and not at an angle.

Maybe who ever is getting this will do a review? I hope so, because I'm buying something in the next month or so, and this is on the short list of the top three.

I have a review about 90% finished from this past summer. I will post it by the weekend with pics. The design came from a talk with my dad about what he used in the Philippines as a kid.
