If I had to guess, I would say 1-1.5 years.

Definitely a long ways out. If you keep your eye on the exchange they do sometimes show up at non-ridiculous markup.

Aim for a couple years, and anything sooner is a potential bonus.

If I wanted one, I'd definitely be looking 2nd hand.

Best bet is to pay the extra if you find on the secondary markets you can get one for $230-$285.

Buying on the exchange has absolutely nothing to do with Survive or their production schedule.
Perhaps I misunderstood the question.
