Nice lanyard!

;)

No seriously, a very cool looking mod job from what I can see.

That was not what I was expecting when I clicked on this thread. That looks awesome, how many hours do you have in that?

I'm not sure on how many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, hours I spent the this project. Lots of sanding and filing.
All the leather came from a bag of leather farmer scraps.

Me Likey. So, what did you do, reforge the existing head, or use a plasma cutter and keep old cutting edge geometry?

It'd be fun to professionally re-forge an Eastwing into a bearded axe, and then send it back to the factory for "warranty repair", with a fake complaint letter dated from the 14th century.

Hey that's pretty cool I was thinking of modding an old ax as well thanks for the moto

A plasma cutter was used to cut it down.
Yes, that would be very funny!! :D

I agree with tin.man.... Bad Ass!

Do you have a 'before' pic? Would like to see what it looked like before you did the work.

I sort of disagree with modifying an Estwing, just on general principal, but I have to admit what you did with it look really cool. How does it cut?

It cuts great....No problem chopping off a few small tree limbs.
This is the only before pic I have. It's before I did the leather wrap.
