Well any thoughts on this subject? I've heard that the bottle opener is going to be a regular run of knives offered at the main site....seriously?:confused: I thought for sure this was going to be a BCS special run only. Maybe Jerry needs to catch his breath after Blade and the Blood Bath, or he needs more time to pull all the stops out for the comeback of one of the all time greats. Either way more power to him.

Second, does anyone have a clue how thick the CG is going to be? I'm thinking the LE and the HOG versions will be the same thickness but have no clue what that is! My guess, CG will be 0.220" and the LE/HOG will along the lines of the LEBATAC thickness, slightly over 0.25". My fear is...that the CG will be 3/16" and the LE/HOG will be 0.220". Being a guy who likes his larger blades on the fatter side I really hope that the latter will NOT be the case.

So chime in HOGs/Piglets...what's your guess???
 
I'm still waiting for my SH1A from the Bloodbathaganzaaaa. I'm hoping it is thick since the other anniversary knives seem to have some extra girth.

With the SH1's blade width, I would expect the standard production knife to be 0.22" (min) and the HOGSH1LE measuring in at a chubby 0.275".

I'm like you, thicker is better on a knife like this.
 
I've thinking a little on this...ok alot, I figure the scotch tape dispenser/bottle opener knife will be offered with the ASH1. Ya know like the SK was with the...crap, what was the SK offered with again? Anyway, just a thought.
 
The SK was offered with the AK47. Jerry's post suggested that it would be the SD with an anorexic AS before the ASH was put out.

The SE ASH-1 and the Custom Shop ASH-1 I have are both .215"- .218" thick, so my guess is that will be the production CG thickness. I would think (if there is one) that the "HOG" or "LE" version might be .250" or a little thicker. Hey, how about a "Off Heart" at 3/8" ????? :eek:

That's what I hoping for Tim. I guess will see. If "approx. 0.25"" is anything like the LE BATAC then I won't be complaining. In fact I think that thickness would be just about perfect for the size blade that the ASH1 is.

Thanks, for the life of me I couldn't remember what it came out with. I sure hope the SD and the AAS doesn't stay up as long as the SS. I would sure like to have an order in for an LE ASH1 before the new year.
 
I had asked a couple months ago if I'd be able to get the ASH-1 in time for a Christmas present........

I was told..........."um.............well,..........um............."

Which I took to mean "fat chance."

Let's hope the ASH-1 makes its debut before January 2008 ! :D
 
Now the SD is up for a 'VERY short time'. If the ASH-1 is next and is as popular as it sounds to be (reading this sub-forum), it will be up at BC for several months and won't ship 'till after it comes down for Jerry's next offering. So, unfortunately, it does seem as if January is a good guesstimate. Would be nice if it were SO popular that Jerry started making and shipping during the offer so that 'early hogs' could get their ASH's before X-mas. We'll see. Pete
 
I guess that we forget that we are deal with those residing in 'Jerry-Land', (Wauseon), where all function on Blue Label and Coors Light fueled 'Busse Standard Time'. This seems to translate to approx. a one to three or four ratio. Two (Busse) weeks meaning roughly six to eight weeks 'real time'. Hopefully, THIS 'very short time' will only be about a month for us earth people. I'll hang out and wait to see. Here's hoping. Pete
 
Heck, I need another month to save some money for the ASH1's...for the first time I may need to sell some INFI just to buy more:(
