Thank you, I've found that I prefer the way the knives patina over the etched blade vs a hand sanded finish. The etch will actually hold a very thin layer of oil better as well, I know it's not, but it almost looks like it soaks in a little bit.... either way it stays put much better.

Balance is exactly between 1st and 2nd pin.
Acraglass and stainless 1/8" stainless pins.
I left the edge a little thick on this one, I've found that .01ish still makes a great slicer and can handle a little more abuse than the ones I've ground to .005 and less. For hunting it just makes more sense to me.....sometimes I use knives for things your not supposed to use knives for.
