So I'm at work now with access to alot of chlorine and I'm going to etch my BK-11. Never done it before. Hope it turns out good

No I did not. I guess I should have researched it more. But I can put a new edge on it if I need to

Gives it a old look. Like if you find a really old rusty blade and clean it up that's what it would look like

Go to Small-Fart, pick up some Casey-Birchwood Gun Blue (~$5), wipe it on there and then soak for up to 1 hour.

Yes, there has to be something on the metal for the bleach to react with, which is what starts the etching process.

And protect the edge before you do!

You can also paint on a pattern with nail polish or paint or something, and then blue the rest and dip, if you want something more artistic.

Yep, making tape, carmex, vaseline...they'll all protect the edge well. It just has to contact the areas you don't want to have etched.

I'm sure the power washer will come in handy to stop the reaction when you want to clean it up!
