Etcher question

I just purchased a lectroetch V45A used , it came with a 8" X 8" paddle. Can anyone point me to instructions for building a smaller paddle.

Also are the electrolytes the same for all etchers? I have a big bottle of the enchant that I had for my etchomatic and am hoping I can use it with this new machine.
