Etching D2

I have etched several things using an old cellphone charger and was wondering if i could use it to lightly go over a d2 blede. I was thinking that it might give it a stonewashed look. Has anyone tried this?

Hmmm ... since D2 is semistainless and etching removes metal, I'd assume it would produce more of a pitted look.

Test it on a cheap blade.

You can etch it with vinegar.
