Etching laminated VG-10//420J2 in Fallkniven A1

Been wondering if i could get the lamination line to show up a lot more if i were to etch my fallkniven A1 as if it were made from damascus or san mai using ferric chloride. Basically im asking if anyone knows if these two steels would produce contrasting etching.
