how good are these and is this something I will have to pratice with. I just finished a skinner of ats34 with sheephorn slabs and don't want to ruin it.
 
hey lock back i use marking methods machine and stencils they work great for me if you want to take a look at some of my marks come on over some time i live 15 min. from you in baker. call me, your welcome to come over i'm in the book

I also use Marking Methods Machine and stencils. They etch deep and have different electrolyte for all different steels and alloys. I think the machine is more money but very high quality and made to last for many years not just for hobbyists. Bruce
 
I checked Marking Methods website, and was interested in what I saw, but no prices were posted. Can you gentlemen give me an idea of what one of their machines costs? Thanks, Walt

I just received thier brochure. The price of the 300A kit is $975. It is pricey but I have friends who say that it is worth the money.
I am thinking of getting one.

thanks guys, this helps. I had seen some of the cheep ones for just under hundred bucks up to 150 bucks, just didn't know how well they would work.
 
Dots, this great, a friend of mine has one of your folders that his wife bough for his birthday. very nice work.I just could not remember your name, but knew you lived in baker.as soon as i saw your reply i called, guess you were in the shop or just hadent come home yet .maybe this weekend we can get togather. would love to see some more of your work. lockback2
