hey all I need some help I want to start marking my knives and want to know if a 12 volt converter from 120vac to 12vdc will work as a etc-o- matic if i make a SS pad with felt comming of the power side ,the back of the converter says OUTPUT 13.8vdc-1.75A on it also 120vac-60Hz-40watts max ,this converter is from Radio shack I tryed it with some duck tape stencel and draino and a cotton ball on the end of the power lead grounded it an it worked some but my stencel sucked my question does this have the power or right power to do what i want with good stencels I know it wont make the AC dark etch but will it work ??? if it will work it will save some money but if it wont give that right look i would rather buy one
