Well....I have built my electro etching maching and now I need a conector piece to the copper wire. This piece is called the "PAD". I have been told to use stainless steel and graphite. Well I cant find a graphite piece small enough and I am having no luck soldering the stainless and copper wire together. Can someone help me out with this?

thats it....I just cant get the solder to work. Will a screw gound flat after I screw the steel and copper wire together work??

As long as they are connected I dont see why not. A simple butt-splice crimp connector would be the best though if they wont solder.

well here is what I did so far....I took a stainless bolt and welded it to my piece of flat stainless "pad" now I have wrapped my wire around the bolt...added a nut......wood to hold.....one large sgrug of the shoulders and wha la! I can at least get started....for the time being :)
