I'm pretty sure I already know the answer, but if I picked up something like this <--(click) to use with a stencil, would it work just fine to etch a logo?

I dont have the near $300 for a real etcher at the moment and they seem stupidly overpriced for what they are IMO anyway.

I realize that the DC power will only remove the metal creating an indentation, and not blacken it, but that is fine with me. I can blacken it with FC.

Thanks!

All you need is a DC power supply around 5-12v. I use a computer power supply and it works good for my needs. Most of the blades that get the etched logo are Damascus steel so it gets a FC treatment after logo etching anyway.
