Etching Tool Steel Atvanteges?

Hi Guys,
Yesterday I Etched My first cable damascus blade that IG helped me make this past summer. My question is- the etch looks pretty

- Are there any advantages or disadvantages to plain tool steel like 0-1

it does help keep "other" rust from forming on your blade

Dave,
Try blueing the blade, w/cable it helps bring the pattern up a bit.
