Ethan makes fun of the Junglas Knife

Haha..Ethan has such a mischievious smile when he took those hilarious jabs at Junglas nuts.

lol he's quite a character.

btw does Becker have a FB account? That esee one's jam packed with photos and such.

You should hear what Jeff says about the Junglas. :D

So, Derek, did you win it in the chopping contest? Sounds like the knife for you :D

No, he sucked it up on that one. We used the BK9 that we all signed, and his little girl arms were no match for Biscuit and Sam. Biscuit got the Junglas, Sam got an ESEE 6, serrated.

Don't worry, Derek, you still made a good steak. :D

I agree. Derek is a workhorse beeyotch in the kitchen. :D
Only reason I won was technique. That and the power of the biscuit.
I like the Junglas, so I'm currently changing my name to Ramirez and trying to develop a taste for sausage porn.

Is it gonna be, Biscuit Ramirez, or Ramirez Biscuit?

Galleta perhaps?

Biscuit Emilio Alejandro Ramirez. My friends will call me Bear.

Chopping has gone on the short list of things to master. I have a hillside of trees behind my house currently. The follow weeks may see their number greatly reduced.

Going to use the Brutus for it to help build strength and toughen up these weak little girl arms.

Well, what was funny, was friday night, me and trade chopped through the first tree crossing the road, about 5" in diameter. The second one, was about 8" and we broke out the Stihl Chainsaw Uncle E lent me. :D Notice I didn't enter in the chopping contest?:D

Yo' Derek, it's all about spacing (initial cuts), angle, and aim.
It also helps to have your lanyard good and secure.
The lanyard was flopping on somebody if I remember right, and that's just a distraction.
I like chopping stuff. Heck, I get excited when a big limb falls out of our pecan trees. :p

ETA: Also this... I don't normally chop just from one side. I'll take out a good notch from one side, reposition, and cut from the other side if possible.
That way, you don't have to start your V-notches as wide, and it just takes less chops. If I could have flipped that log in the contest, I'm pretty durn sure I could have been through it in under a minute.
