Holy Mother of Pearl!

I am sure you have seen all the threads about the FPR 15- 16- and 17's that people have been receiving.
I just got mine in hand today and it feels just fan freakin tastic. The weight is comfy, the grips feel solid and grippy, and the size is just perfect imho, and the sheath..... I have not had a production knife sheath that was this good ever.
Maybe I have been sheltered and they are out there, but I haven ever owned one.
I was never really happy with the size or feel of my Rat 3, its a decent knife but just never felt like the right knife.
The 16 though is just beautiful.
I cant wait to get micarta on it, although I have to say it doesn't need it, I just want it..lol

You sir, and the fine folks at KaBar have knocked this completely out of the park.
Thank you.

Silverthorn

P.S I just cant say enough about the sheath either, it is soooo much better than the production sheaths that I have gotten before.

I agree.... It truly is the best feeling knife..... It fits my hand perfectly and its just the right size.... Great job Ethan..... Very awesome

The only thing I don't like about the sheath is the color, and the insert, both of which I will fix as soon as I can, just gotta find a sharpened fondue fork, some Rit dye, and a stainless steel pot.

What the hell is the fork for? You gunna eat it?

Yep, it's about time we had a more positive thread around here. The knife feels fantastic in the hand for a knife of its size. I wrapped my hand around it once and decided to put my ESEE 3 Mil up for sale. The handles on these are so much more comfortable. I think the sheath is pretty decent too. Even though I'll still probably get some GODSPEED kydex for it. Throw in some micarta and I think it will be pretty much perfect.

Yes, thank you very much Mr. Becker. I've owned a lot of your knives, loved every one of them, but this one is different. I'm sure you know what I mean.

I'm going to guess the fork is for cutting the stitching holding the liner in so it can be removed.

Yeh the thing just fits. I know some don't like the front but it really allows you to choke up without having to add a choil to the blade. There's only one other thing that fits my hand better than Becker handles. And that's why I'm blind.

Clich you kill me!!! I spit milk and cereal out my nose reading the last sentence!!! HAHhahaahhaha

someone say pork?

oh, park. gotcha. park.

Well I learned from the best. Now if I can only get that tradewater scowl down right, I'd be a full blown Jedi. Unfortunately I just look constipated so far.
