Here's this new Eurasian Bowie. It has a blend of eastern and western influences. It's 14 inches OAL, with a 1065 blade, ebony handle with woven cotton cord wrappings sealed with pinyon rosin. The guard is sterling silver. It has a split quench line with alternating bands of martensite and pearlite, from a single slow emersion edge quench. The handle has a tapered bronze pin under the wrappings that goes through the handle and an offset hole in the tang. When the pin is driven in, it puts the guard and handle under compression.

Nice piece Tai .
I have a few of the user bush pieces, and they do not fall short on workmanship , design , or in hard use. That a wood Hikot sheath with a touch of silver would be right at the top .
