First impressions:

I love the workmanship. Flawless fit and finish on both knives.

The Eureka Jack is a perfect size and feels great in the hand.

Smoothest pulls I have ever experienced on a GEC.

Nice edges on both knives.

The Eureka has been in my pocket since it got here and it is definitely going in the EDC rotation.

The Boy's Knife?

In person I am not quite as fond. It is a tad smaller than I like. Nothing wrong with it but just a little undersized for my liking.

The Eureka is the smooth Ivory Bone and the #15 is red jigged bone.

Pictures hopefully later on.

I agree, the Eureka's spot-on, fine knife.

The Boy's Knife is good too, handle a bit skimpy perhaps.

Thanks, Will

I just got my EO Boys Knife in rust red jigged bone yesterday - single Sheepfoot blade. It's a sweet little knife, but not as big as it looks in some of the pics lol. It's slim and a nice little knife though.

The Eureka Jack is definitely on my short list of knives I would like to own. Your description is tempting me to order one. I just can't decide weather to get one by Tidioute or Northfield. Looking forward to some pictures!

Nice to hear. I have a #15 two blade in ebony that should be showing up on Thursday. Excited to see it. I do wish it was going to be a little larger, but I like the shape and the blade configuration. If the Eureka had a pen blade I'd be all over it, still may have to consider one eventually however. This will be my first GEC so I'm looking forward to the experience.

I would like to see the Eureka Jack with a main Wharncliff blade and a secondary pen/spear. I wouldn't hesitate in picking one up like that.

Funny that you're not into the #15, I have never been able to warm to the pattern myself. There is a real trend at the minute with the 15s and the highly acclaimed charlows (respectful nod to Waynorth), not a day goes by without one of them popping up in the "whatcha toting today" thread but I just can't get into them. I thought initially that the new 2 blade charlow sheepsfoot would be the winning combination for me but when it appeared, meh. They've been so popular with everyone I had felt a little guilty about not going for it, as if I was slighting the maker somehow (sorry Charlie!). It makes no sense because it is the ideal size for me and especially with the sheepsfoot main it is exactly what I would pick, but I just don't like the looks of it.

I have a GEC eureka in smooth calico bone with an end cap and I love it. I've been enjoying it for about two months now. The coping secondary is the decider for me, it is such a useful little scalpel. It is a touch longer than I would usually go for but because it is such an elegant and slender pattern, it doesn't look it's size. I'll take some pictures when I get the chance.

I have several of both the 15s and the 92s (including the Champlins). Of the GEC versions for both knives, my favorite is the smooth bone with out end caps, but the nicest is the 92 JBF in rosewood, which has no end cap and a shield. The Charlow single blades are, in my opinion, about as close to a custom made knife as you can get without buying one - basically perfect. Even the seconds are better than most other knives. They've made so many of them its down to a science!

I have both and carry both. I carried my eureka jack today. Same one as you, smooth ivory bone. I also really like the # 15. Carried one today too. It has killed two apples in 2 days.
