Pulled out a box of knives I never really wanted but were gifted, and I found one I do want. A yellow trapper CV I bought my father in-law who, sadly, died before I could give it to him. Had forgotten I even I had it until this morning. A great surprise. Funny thing is, I just bought a SS redbone Case trapper within the last couple of months. Already know who I'll give that LNIB red bone trapper to.

Gotta say, it looks like it'll be a rather good day with this kind of start to it.

Great find! Funny how these things turn up after so much time stashed away, isn't it?

I've "lost" knives only to find them in an old coat pocket months later when the weather changes again. It's like a mini Christmas every time that happens.

This is another I found, but knew I had lost in the same closet. It was nearly new when I misplaced it. Hadn't had it for long before it went MIA. Knew it would turn up sooner or later. Now if I can just find a Vic Swiss Champ that I recall last seeing about a year ago. I was gifted it in Cambodia in 1992.

That is cool. A yellow CV trapper is about as Traditional as you can get imho...

I know exactly what you mean. In the height of my buying frenzy, and collecting, I had put knives in various places. A lot of them went into the gun safe, but others I thought I might use, got placed in other places.
A couple months ago, I found knives I forgot owning. I don't think there are any more floating around, but then again, I didn't know those were either :D

A yellow trapper and a peanut. Now that is a great set of surprises and I think all the folders a sane person would want or need. :D

Are you actually operating on the possibility that there are sane people on this forum?
