I have been telling my folks for years that they have some of my knives. Some crap knives I had as a kid. Some nice SAKs I had as a kid. Some of my Grandpa's knives that were given to me. They still have not found the one I'm looking for, but I guess guilt finally kicked in. My mom went looking and found "some knives". I asked her to send me a pic. This is what she sent.

That is very cool. I love the knife in the top left. The coloring is great. I'm going to guess it's a Robeson?

I'm not sure...Robeson could be right. Some are obvious...some will be a surprise. They are not knife people, so they didn't say and I don't remember...and I didn't know as much about knives then as I do now. I've been having fun guessing.

Anyone else want to take some guesses?

Cool! It will be like Christmas morning when that package arrives.

I know all the knives I had as a kid are in knife heaven, by now. Not a single one of them made it through. The earliest-owned knife I have was bought in '96. Lot's of knives are missed.

Your photo brings back memories for me too.

That black lockback stiletto at the top looks just like a knife I used to have.
I was about 11 or 12 (1973) and my friend and I saw an ad for it in a comic book or Mad magazine if I remember correctly.
We saved up our lunch money and sent away for two of them. We just put cash in an envelope and mailed it in.
Yours looks exactly like it!

That's how I got mine, too.

I think that candy stripe toothpick switchblade may be a Hammer brand. Very cool piece. If it still functions, it's great that the blade is sitting below the liners. A lot of those older ones "peek" due to wear on the internals and over-sharpening.

Of course if the spring is broken, there wouldn't be much cause for peeking, as the spring wouldn't be trying to force the blade upward.

Either way- that will be a fun package to open! Some cool stuff, and I bet a lot of memories.

Last time I touched it the switch worked. I think it's a hammer, too. Haven't seen it since I was a kid. Memories, you bet. For some reason the switch was my Dad's fishing knife for a long time. I guess one handed opening. When I get them I'll clean em all nice and put up pics.

As someone who has a few of those Hammers in both working and non-working condition, I'd say that one works and is in excellent condition for its age. When the spring is broken, the spine of the blade usually doesn't sit that high.

Cool, thanks man.

The switch is a Hammer.

The one under it is a Camillus Sword brand.

The yellow pearl cell. Barlow is an Imperial.

The little derlin handle fella above it is most likely a Camillus.

And above it is a little Japanese stiletto.

Always nice to get back knives:).

I agree. I sent my guesses to my folks. I'll know later if I was right or not.

Wow!...very cool Dan, I like the look of the top lefty, also the jigged knife with that nice little sheild on the right...you must give us an up-date when you get these in your paws!
