After much worry over customs, the Euro Basic 6 finally arrived.

It has a 6" blade, .25" thick. My closest knife would be the Camp Tramp, 7.5", .25" thick.

The B6 is fairly close in terms of size, but the the CT definitely feels heavier. 1.5" of SR101 adds a lot to it, I guess. The B6 is flat ground, with a sharper clip point than the CT. It looks like the B6 also tapers off more at the tip. The B6 looks like it has a dual flat primary grind.

The handles are both made of Resiprene. The CT is more textured for a grippier feel.

This is my first Basic. I don't know if they are all stamped Busse Combat on the handle near the choil, but this ones does. :)

The B6 also has a hole near the choil like the other Basics.

The blade needs a little work. It came with a burr on it! I'll have to touch it up a bit.

Overall, it is very similar to the CT. I think the main difference will be in the blade material - MINFI vs SR101.

I've been too cheap to upgrade my membership, what with the AD and folder coming out... I did send the pic to Eric. Hopefully he'll post it soon.

Here's the pic, looks like a great knife. Congrats :D:D

You posted it like 1 minute after my last post!!!

Top to bottom:
Camp Tramp
Euro 6
Satin Jack LE
Howling Rat

Without actually getting them wet or using them, the CT feels more secure.

It's all the little "bumps" on it that gives it more friction. Not that the B6 is bad, just slightly less fricitional if that's a word.

Oh forgot to mention the sheath is awesome! It's all kydex with a tek-lok. You pull the knife out by pressing on the depression to open up the kydex a bit. Cool!

sweet! never seen one up close like that before...

good comparison with the others, thx for sharing brother!

Hey Chiseen

Congrats on the Euro Basic 6
Actually there was a test on Camp Knives in the last issue of the german knife magazine.
The Basic #6 won that test.

Does the sheath look like this?

greetings,

Hey Dirk! Hey you been buddy? Who made the kydex rig, looks very neat.

Hi Gundy!

When I came to the US the first time I realized my school english sucked. So I learned - can even tell jokes in english now and sometimes people laugh. ;)

And now this:
"Hey you been?"
I guess it means something like: "What´s up, dude?"

I am here everyday, reading, I post only if I have something to say.
Of course I am more active in our german forums.

The kydex sheath was made by a german sheath maker we don´t work with anymore.

We will still have the same style available, though.

greetings,
Dirk

Yes that is the sheath!! You can use a little pressure on top and the knife slides right out. The fit is perfect. Not pictured is a tek-lok on the backside. You can slide this bar to adjust for differing belt widths.

Dirk, any chance we can see the test?? :)

Congrats chiseen, the E6 with the Assault Shaker or the Active Duty is a great combo. I use my Caretaker more than my other Busses.
Well, wait...
my SH gets a lot of work too
Hmm
the SJ is new and needs a lot of breaking in....

so what, I can´t decide wich one of my busses needs a workout most

:D ;)

Schleifalot!

You definitely need more Busse knives.
Soon we will call you the german skunk.

greetings,
Dirk

In Munich I told you that I got a tiny chip of INFI into my blood.
Now I´m totally hooked

You and Jerry are responsible....

....I need the next dose soon

No, I can resist
