So there I was using my Combat 4 to open some bags and I started wondering how many of you out there are using them and what you use them for. I know there were more than a few sold during the Extravaganza. Are they users or are they in your safe?
If you use it, just how hard have you used it? I haven't used mine really hard since I generally have a larger piece of INFI with me and don't need to abuse the C4.
So how about it ya pigs.....used, abused or asleep in the safe?

That's the Jose Conseco model Euro 4 BTW. LOL

Mine is in the safe for the moment, but it WILL be fitted for pants and become a EDC. The size (blade/handle), is pretty much the same as the SHBA that I DO EDC, so, I can see that happening real soon. A trip to the shop for a butt grind would help both the concealability and the balance.

I stripped my Tanker A, and it has become my EDC.

The magic moment has arrived. I just scooped my second Euro 4 on Ebuy and that's what I've been waiting for. I really like to have duplicates of my EDC's. More for the loss thing than anything else. Slim chance I know, but it took over a year to find the second one.

I also have a Tanker A and that is going to be my guinea pig for a couple of things for a couple of reasons. 1st is the color. For some reason the green on this beauty came out something like the 'beater green' stuff that I truly hope Jerry didn't get more than 10# of (the AK47 handle material). It's going to get stripped and then a trip through the blast cabinet at the shop. Like to knock off some of that 'shiney' on the handle too.

2nd is the blade shape. I like the drop point of the Euros more than the clip of the Tanker. I want to get a butt grind, which usually I like the results of, in balance and concealability. If I don't like it, the Euros are still unchanged and if I do, they will be heading North in short order to have their butts hit the belt.

With pretty much the same OAL as my SHBA's (EDC), and blade profile as the SJ's, these are looking right to fit into the rotation. The SJ is just a tad too long to work the way I want it too, but a beautiful blade shape.

Well after you have the butt ground off it's like a fat CPBA with a half an inch longer blade. I mean lots of people love to EDC the BA3. This ones just fatter and a slight bit longer.
My Combat 4 is in field rotation. I have a good drop leg sheath for it but I don't have a good way to carry it so it goes unseen.
It's a great hiking knife though. I like it if I'm hiking where I don't have to blaze my own trail. Sometimes we will hike for a weekend. It's big enough to cut the bread. We take an uncut loaf of french bread or something like that. It's also got a long enough blade to reach all the way to the bottom of the peanut butter jar. :D
To me Tanker or C4...makes no difference. I like them both.
They're all just the little brother to my first Busse and fav.

Got a point with the comparison to the BAIII, but even with that small difference I like the way it feels better. The chunky Euro 4 best of all. That one actually came back from Europe. The newest one, I haven't received yet.

I have to conceal my stuff (nomily), or it's 'public display' and a big no no.

Getting to the bottom of the Peanut Butter jar is a big plus. The SHBM is a bit too big, and my finger is a bit too short. LOL

The Tanker A is a nice knife. I like the older Mean Streets. Gotta love those thicker blades.
I've had a Mean Street and a Basic 3 that I've been packing around for quite some time.
Might have to start carrying the Tanker. Might be a little big though.
