Hello Folks,

At home I have a few slabs of 1000 year old swamp oak. Real light for oak, water-resistant and real tough too. Looks kinda dark, and finishes pretty nice, but it's not easy to finish. If you want an example, click here and select their damascus knives. http://www.bokerusa.com/ it's Boker USA and the first knife has a handle of it.
I know this stuff isn't too easy to find, but in Europe, kydex or concealex don't exist yet! That pisses me off, so if someone wants to get me some kydex or concealex at a fair price and in decent large pieces, you can get payed or trade for something I own. Just don't ask for my girlfriend

How big are the pieces you have?
Who would pay shipping?
I have never seen this wood, however exotic hardwoods relatively easy to come buy thru US suppliers.
What do you consider a fair price in US $?
