Hi, I saw this site: http://www.cutlerytogo.com./index.html mentioned in a thread elswhere in the forums.
You might want to take a peek if you are interested in European style folding knives. That said, I bought the Canary Islands style fixed blade. Got it today, great knife. Nice, light, sits easy in the hand. Problem: can't show it to the girlfriend because it will end up being permanently on her cutting board.
Anyway nice site. Regards, Greg

I know what you mean. When are these guys going to offer two-fers?

You can spend hours on that website and never see all their knives. Maybe I better forget the two-fers until I get one of each ... !

Ripper, great choice!
These knives are still used today in the Canary Islands by the country folk. They are to Canarians what the pukko is to the Finns.
I too recommend them to anyone interested in knives from Spain, from fixed blades to traditional Andalusian navajas.

Hello,
el cid, thanks for the info. I think you
had started the thread I found the site in.
So double thanks. The people who own the site are a pleasure to deal with. A lot of great touches, including the package.
Regards, Greg

I'm probably the one who mentioned cutlery to go. I bought the canary knife as a chesse knife for woman. Now I don't want to give it to her.

Does that photo on the desk bear a curious resemblance to a well-known, blood-sucking rodent? With a pretty girl? Gadzooks. I think we're being shined (shone?) on by a pretend newbie!

Here VG, here VG. Come out! Come out!

(I feel bad

about correcting such a little thing - but something inside me tells I had to. I hope nobody offended...)

Hi Bugs, I might be a newbie, by number of posts ,but I have been a long time reader of the forums. Now ,as to being a blood sucking rodent, I'm sure some of the troops have thought so now and again. However, I am not the Vampire Gerbil (I think there can only be one) Sorry to disappoint. You are right though, she is a pretty girl.

tuhkis, I can't speak for anyone other than myself, but I surely would not be offended by being educated straight from the horse's mouth, so to speak.

Take care all, Greg
