A custom knife from a new-ish maker arrived today, this "Small EDC" from Evan Martin (aka Hevy Ev):
The steel is 15n20, handle is bloodwood (my first knife in this material). Overall length is 6-3/8" with a 3-1/2" handle and 2-7/8" blade.
The strong point of this knife is the flat-ish slender handle. Very comfortable to hold with a 'graceful' feel to it.
The primary purpose of this topic is to give potential buyers a good idea of what to expect if browsing Evan's For Sale items.
A secondary purpose is to ask Evan a few questions regarding his knives. No offense to him, but his For Sale items are a tad under-advertised. I think he'd sell even faster with better photos and descriptions.
Evan, how many knives have you made? Is this your 10th knife, for example, or your hundredth? Stock removal or forged (I would guess forged)? What makers' designs have inspired you?
