Dang, I thought for sure I would have heard from my agent about the casting call. He is soooo fired. Lousy, no goood, forked tongued, useless piece of a lawyer.

I better get a new one and hopefully will get into the sequel.

Any open spots left for background extras? My specialty is crossing the road behind the hero. I will require my own trailer and one for my dog. I need Evian at 35 degrees F, and Crispy Cream donuts well stocked, especialy the chocolate ones.

Who is playing the lead? Hollister, Rearic, anybody we know?:D

Better yet, who is playing the leading lady? Denise Richards? Angelina Jolie? Charlize Theron? ;) I could work as masseuse for them.

Ken, good idea!

Take it easy,
Reed

Ark,

He's spoofing another current trend in the General Forum with regard to bashing Ernie...once again...

Sorry I didn't make that clearer, just getting awfully tired of the people who would have the world believe that EKI owners are mouth breathing idiots that don't know the difference between a good knife and a bad knife.

You'd think all the Usual Suspects were trying to type with fingers numbering less than 10.

Don-Ken WTF?

Gentlemen:

Let the Bashers-bash. Do they really matter? Quite frankly I wouldn't waste my breath on any of them. Let them carry what they want, let them promote their knives as the best, (like they've NEVER had QC problems). For those of us who swear by our Commanders, CQC's etc...we know better :) I realize all their babbling can pi$$ you off, but those in the know, REALLY know ;)

LOVE that wave :D

I'm already tired of it too, and I haven't been around here very long. I could go on about Spyderco and Microtech just as much as most go on about EKI and BM. Not the same "problems" but "problems" none the less. I've discussed this at length before, though. The problem is it's the same story every time. One guy buys an Emerson, the screws are stripped, the black wears off too fast, the blade's rubbing the liner. And then the same 50 people respond that responded to the previous similar post and discuss the same things, over and over again. Then, if the problem is such that it can be fixed by the user 95% of the time(like blade rubbing liner) and the guy is told how to do it, he gets offended and suddenly everyone trying to help is the bad guy.

You can imagine someone picking up a Microtech LCC, or Socom Elite, and it just happens to be dull out of the box. He'd likely sharpen it and comment on it if writing a review. But if the same dull knife was a Benchmade or Emerson it's suddenly a junk knife. That seems to be the trend on the forums here.

I'd like to agree with RAYE but I think he missed part of the problem. The problem I see is that those who've had problems with Emersons and then blew them out of proportion ultimately discourage potential buyers from buying a great knife they might like a lot.

Of course, I will work for nothing less.
They got those over by you, too? or are you going thru withdrawls?
Reed

MAJOR withdrawals here!
I discovered Krispy Kremes when I was stationed at Ft. Bragg, KK had a contract to deliver to every Mess Hall on post. (and DAMN but they must have been raking in the cash from that contract) I'd never heard of them before, but my average chow hall breakfast soon became Coffee, Milk and two KK doughnuts. All for 70 cents... ahhhhh those were the good old days...

To paraphrase Sir Richard Francis Burton,

Cheap doughnuts, free ammo, and good friends.
Fool that I was, I wanted more.
:D

You're right Aphthartos, I had ordered a CQC7A, Plain Satin, exactly two weeks before I found BladeForums (I once held one at a knife shop in VA and it really popped my bubble:) ). I had been using it for a couple of weeks before I came across the negative posts you speak of. Now I'm not a trend follower but the issues that I read about would have affected my decision since a $100 bucks is a good chunk of money. I'm glad I ordered it before reading those posts 'cause this knife has been great. After reading the most recent post about the screw color wearing off I checked mine out and sure enough the screw color has begun to wear off. I probably never would have noticed it but so what. That doesn't affect the knife in any way. Sorry this got a little long but as I said, I do think these posts discourage buyers. If I had listened I'd probably have a BM 710 right now. Nothing wrong with that, in fact that might be my next one but readers (espcially newbies) will probably listen to the negative posts and pass on an Emerson. A sad state, indeed. Regards. -Rick
