I was going to post a link to the site, but its just so full of spam announcements, KV would have me in the brig. Heres a condensed version of what I found, no pics or specs. BTW, looking for some tips on taking my pup on vacation with me, yesterday he was very well behaved on the trip to the vets!

A gear bag to keep water, training equipment, and other dog related stuff is essential.

A Dog's Life Web Site ( at http://www.dogs-life.com/travel.htm ) sells a nice product called the "Rollover Travel Pack & Bed For Dogs". The pack is described as:

"- Perfect for on-the-go dogs and their owners, the ROLLOVER® Travel Pack & Bed for dogs has a snap-on shoulder strap and built-in handle for easy carrying. The reinforced nylon pack-cloth construction will hold up over the long haul.

- Unbuckle the compact unit, and it unrolls to rugged storage pockets for everything your traveling dog will need-- including dog food, water bottle, dog bowl and other necessities. Dogs can easily get dehydrated when traveling. Now the dogs water and bowl can always be in easy reach. And the insulating cushions inside the product keep your dogs cold water bottle cold longer, even on hot, sunny days.

- Fully opened, the ROLLOVER Travel Pack & Bed for dogs becomes a cushioned, fleece-topped travel dog bed with a water-resistant base for indoor & outdoor use. The thick polyester cushions also provide superior insulating qualities to keep dogs comfy, no matter what your destination.

- Now you've got a convenient way to help your dog feel "at home" with familiar things they can call their own.

- And at the end of the journey, the ROLLOVER Travel Pack & Bed for dogs is completely machine washable and dryable for easy care. Unlike other dog beds, the entire bed gets cleaned, not just the cover.

- Available in Small, Medium, Large and X-Large-- comfortably sized to fit most dog breeds."

(Check out their web site... they include a picture!)

Okay, I'm back. I tried to find a pic, but couldn't. My pup is getting his trusted mat, his water dish, his own brand spanking new Deerpark water bottle ;) , and bathroom breaks on our excursion.

We use a doggie backpack for our Aussie when we go hiking. He carries water for him and our Sheltie on one side. The other side of the pack carries food and plastic bags for 'litter' pickup. Both our dogs drink out of a water bottle w/ a sport cap. They know what it is when they see it and will ask for a drink.
They work pretty well for us.

The Aussie is getting old (12) so some times I use the pack to help lift him over an obstacle or up a steep climb. He seems to appreciate the help. I help boost him into the truck too when it's time to load up. Poor guy. But he does understand that it he needs the help.

Hey rnr, We have two Aussies and two Shelties. One of the Aussie boys came from the shelter, the other three were raised from pups. I absolutely love the Aussies, they're wonderful dogs. And the Shelties are bright, cheerful and lots of fun. My favorites are the Aussies, though. :)

Yup. Aussies are cool. Ours would protect us w/ his life if need be. That's comforting when I'm out of town for work. When Levi dies, we'll probably get a Mini-Aussie (now called North American Shepherd). Just for a change.

My wife raised Shelties for a number of years and showed them both in Conformation and Agility. This guy (Shay) is way over size, but we loved his temperment too much to let him go to someone else when we bought him. He's not a barker believe it or not. Cool huh?

They both love to go camping w/ us and Levi won't go back into the house as soon as he figures out that we're loading for the trip.
