Even Leatherman thinks the Griptilian rocks

This is a picture from the Leatherman website for the Signal. I understand that it's a user photo, but it's also the first photo in the lineup of "Signal in Action" on their corporate page. I'm posting based on my initial reaction to seeing a BM knife on the LM website. Mostly, Whiskey Tango Foxtrot (I then saw that it's a user pic)


I love Leatherman, and I love Benchmade products. I EDC a leatherman and a Griptilian. But what, exactly is the message being sent when you use a photograph of your multitool (with a knife) being shown with another knife in a promotional picture (albeit, from a fan)? IDK, I just thought it was funny to see on a corporate site.

Well, they both make great products, but they are in totally different markets, so it doesn't surprise me a lot.
Plus, the two companies aren't very far away from each other :D
 
Same state / location. Both recognize their markets intersect some segments. It's good marketing.
