There was no one more respected than George Herron. I had the pleasure of spending time with him on several occasions. A great knife maker and a real southern gentleman.

I was on the lookout for a Herron knife and finally found one for a great price a couple of years ago. It’s a Model 1 skinner with ironwood scales. I had no idea at the time of purchase what number was stamped on it but when it arrived, coincidentally it was stamped “119”, which is also my badge number at work 
Couldn’t have worked out any better! It’s been in the woods with me a few times and it’s been put to work on some squirrels. Worked as great as I could have imagined.
