I bet most presidents have carried a knife, although it would be interesting to actually confirm my assumption.

I read somewhere that G.W. carries a Tony Bose custom. Apparently it was given to him by the elder President Bush, who also carried a Bose masterpiece. Good taste.

It says contents of his pockt next to a copy of the newspaper that tells of his assasination. If he had that paper why didnt he read about his demise and get the hell out of the theater.
