It's the 18.5 with the funny looking plug and yes I have 220 v but that was a good question because I did the 220 myself but after much testing I believe I have 220v when I go from the case ground to either hot I have 126v when I put each probe from dvom in both hots I get some funny reading is that because I dont complete a circuit?

No if you go from one hot to the other you should get a reading of 220-240vac. If not you got issues in your electrical wiring.
If your getting a funny reading going from one hot to the other its probably because there both the same phase of 110v (NOT GOOD).
Is your wiring going to a 220v breaker in your fuse box??
Chris
PS I am not Electrician but I have put in about 50 outlets in my workshop in both 110v and 220v

I've never tried to explain this before, if it's not clear, please ask and I'll do a drawing or something:

Just coming from different fuses may not be enough - most residential service has two 110 volt lines from the street, out of phase with each other (one is +110 while the other is -110 and vice versa). So the hot side of one of those fuses has to come from one line and the hot side of the other fuse from the other line.

sounds like blindhog and tait nailed it . I'm going to guess here , did you try to get 220 from 2 - 110 wall outlets ?

I was afriad of that I also know a little about electricty "enough to not get hurt" coming to my shop I have 2 black lines which go to the breakers and 1 white line for 110 and one Ground, But I am concerned about them being on the same leg of 110 i'm gonna have a electrician come out and check it. But no I was not trying to get 220 from 2 110's but it think both lines coming into my shop may be from the same leg.

I just went and confirmed it while I used a double 220 20 amp breaker in my shop whoever built the shop it was there when we bought the house ran 2 lines of 110 to the shop of the same leg.
Thanks Guy's Anthony

O.K. got the electrical figured out I now have 243 v ro the kiln but still does not power up I will call evenheat tommorow anyone have any idea what a new panel cost?

I am thinking that the dual voltage transformer is bad. it is what powers the panel and stuff that doesn't run off of 220v. Talk to Mike Kelly at even heat. he is a good guy tell him I told you to ask for him.

I'm gonna give evenheat a cal tommorow I got the power sitiuation fixed i have 243.6v now it still dont power up.
