How about a shotgun? I sent this to Turnbull in 98 to see if he had a extra set of barrels that could be fit to it and Turnbull had nothing and sent it back. I put it up and promptly forgot about it. Today while doing some spring cleaning I found a shotgun case and opened it to find the Parker. This is a nice tight 12 gauge VH #1 frame manufactured in 1900 with great bores. I did shoot it some with my 2 1/2 inch loads and even shot a few straights on the skeet field. I think this will be restored and then passed down at some point. Pairs up nicely with a Russell Barlow I just bought.

lost/forgot the gun for 10 years...who's surprised I put it in the wrong forum?...lol

Nice gun! I've done it with a few knives, but never a gun. I'm looking for one of my Doziers right now...

Now if you find a lost mossberg 590 send it my way.:D I miss place my surefire z2 light along with four of my speed loader for my 686p. Damn house of stuff!

I've done that with both knives and an old revolver. However, the most embarrassing incidents have been when I got excited about a knife and bought it---only to discover that I already owned one. What's worse, I once did that twice with the same knife so now I have two extras to give as gifts! [And I'm only 53 with no other signs of early-onset Alzheimer's!]

I do that with books.... I get all excited when a favorite author writes something new and I buy it, pour a nice glass of Merlot and sit down to enjoy.... Halfway through the first chapter I say...."this all seems very familiar" and I realize I read it 6 months ago and this is the reprint with a different cover......IDIOT!!!! So I down the bottle of red in the hope it will improve my memory.....:o never seems to though....
