Timing has allowed my wife and I to vacation to St Thomas in the US Virgin Islands in December (less than 60 days out)... Just wondering for some good input on things to do, places to see... Not too expensive?

I've been on the island a few times but never for an extended stay. Definitely rent a car for a day and drive around the island. There is/was a "hole in the wall" bar out by Jersey Bay that had cold beer and good burgers, I was there in '93, '95 and 2002.

Try to get to some other islands, St Johns is also USVI. Not sure how they work tours to the BVIs for snorkeling or site seeing. I'm guessing you'd need a
passport.

Be careful on St Thomas, it's probably not as safe as the out islands.

I was there about 30 years ago when I was in the Navy. I found an amazing looking horseshoe bay with a beach all the way around, and green trees--just like a postcard. In the middle, a few yards through the woods was a bar. I bought 151 rum drinks, and rolled up my pants to stand in the water and let the fish nibble on me. It was NICE! got drunk as a skunk, too!

I was there 20 years ago, and it seemed like a nice place. St. Thomas was really geared towards the tourist crowd, with lots of shopping to do (not really why we went there...)

The beaches are nice, and my sister and I got to do a resort scuba dive which was a cool experience.
