I am guilty, I feel bad, hhmm.....but my pocket has a new clip :D

I took the wife shopping today on a whim, knowing I would be close to three knife shops:D

I came home with a Buck vantage Pro, and a Wenger Ranger. I have to have something to cut those tags with.

I cannot say I have, I honestly feel that I need my knives in pockets as much as I need my wallet and keys. That is a good trick though, I mostly buy knives online anyway. I guess I could leave my handgun behind, and I'd just happen to show up with a new Glock when I get home :)

Well played. Sneakery is a commendable characteristic when it is applied to the acquisition of new knives.

Well my birthday was two days ago, got three new knives already. I guess it all evens out since there are clothes in her closet with tags from the last trip.

I've purposely carried a "less than ideal" folder on a day I thought we might be going by a knife shop or 3. I managed to pick up a Buck Vantage Pro that way a few months ago. Well done.

I agree, what the lady did was respectful & brave & it's a good thing that you're the person you are vs someone that is "thuggish."

In defense of LEO's, dealing with unknowns on a daily basis will do that to you, along with dealing with so many unknowns during a call.

I'm not sure you would've been handcuffed & such, but if LE came in response to a complaint about you (Whatever it may have been), you most likely would've had a pat-down conducted (For weapons &/or any illegal objects) & been asked/told to interlace your finger with your hands on your head, etc.

Had the Officer known you, it might be different &, like you said, others at the Library know you, so them calling the Police probably wouldn't have happened.

Glad there were no more issues.

So, was it illegal for you to have a knife in the Library?

Yes I have. After a several year long dry spell in the deer hunting woods, I finally shot a buck and discovered I didn't have a single knife with me. I had to walk all the way back to the hunting cabbin to get a knife. For the next few years, I was back to my normal habbit of carrying a hunting knife as well as my EDC, and I never saw a buck. Therfore the following year, I puposely left the hunting shack without a knife. You guessed it, I shot a deer that year.

I am over here in Bentonville. Other then Ag Russell’s where are some knife shops around here? Did you come down here to Rogers or did you head up to Monet?

Although AG is a second home, and all the girls know my wife and me, we ventured to Branson, there is "XX Case cutlery" in the merchant mall, "Never a dull moment" and Bass Pro in the Landing. Some good deals to be had over there.

Not sure of a shop in Monett, Where at?

Aside from bass pro in springfield, there is a shop that sells police gear and lots of knives just west of bass pro on 60, kinda high, and very uneducated.

Also Gellco shoes in rogers across from popeyes has a small selection of stuff.

"I mean no disrespect to any LEO here but if it would of been a cop who asked they would of first had to stand back 25 feet then order me to place my hands on the back of my head and lock my fingers then get on my knees and then them handcuff me because their safety may be in danger"

Hey Bobby...... it's 21 feet.

No I was just wondering if you shoped in Monet not saying there is a shop up there. Matter of fact I should of known you did not go to Monet, there is no where to shop there.

I am wanting to get up to Springfield and the Bass Pro Shop and check out their knives. Its been 2 years since I have been up there. I remember they have a decent knife shop. I also need to stock up on 45-70 ammo. The Hornady in 45-70 here is 31+ bucks and at Springfields Bass Pro Shop its only 28 bucks and your tax's are cheeper. That Hornady 45-70 in 325gr is some mean stuff. I shoot it out of my Marlin 1895G.

Do check out the police gear shop on your way, and I highly recommend going to the landing in branson, never a dull moment has zt, esee, large BM selection, etc...

While a 45-70 is tempting, I couldn't justify purchasing a gun I would only shoot at the range, bit much for my deer hunting. But I did consider it ;)
