Do you ever regret letting a knife slip away? I know I have. A few years back A.G. Russell offered a slipjoint he called the Texas Ranger Toothpick. It was a beautiful knife with gorgeous red bone handles and a unique leaf shaped blade that I had never before seen on a toothpick-styled slippie. I used to check out the A.G. Russell website just to look at it. I never bought it though. You can guess what happened. The next time I went to A.G.'s site the knife was sold out. I emailed A.G. to ask about it and he said that he was no longer offering it. How's that saying go?, "you snooze, you lose." :grumpy:

I've been looking for one ever since. I've been unsuccessful thus far, but I was browsing the 'Bay recently when I came across one, but in stag. I pounced immediately on it, not wanting to let the knife slip through my fingers again. Woohoo! First I get my Harness Jack back, now this. This has been a very good knife week for me. I can't wait for it to get here.

Here's the seller's picture of it. I'll post some more when I receive the knife.

That's really sweet looking.

Congrats!

That is a very interesting blade pattern, very distinctive....

I receive the knife a couple of days ago. It's a big knife at 5" closed and 9" open, but is surprisingly light for its size. My Harness Jack weighs more than this knife.

That is one beautiful knife. I bet it carries well in the back pocket. There is something about a single blade slippie that draws my eye to it.
