Ever get bit twice by the same blade style?

Last year I accidently stabbed myself in the upper thigh with a kershaw leek, man that was a stupid thing to do...long story :) And just the other day I somehow managed to almost cut the top of mu thumb off with my Spyderco Calypso Jr., I don't even understand how it happened....I opened up a box and set the knife next the to products in the box (I work at a grocery store) and when I grabbed a bottle my thub was close to the blade and it's like the knife just attacked my thumb. Like it grabbed and just dug in, and this is with the knife just sitting on the box, no pressure other than the blade against my thumb...crazy. :eek: I need to watch how sharp I make these things :)

So the question is, Anyone been bitten by two brands of knives but be bit by the same blade style/profile....ex being tanto, wharncliff, clippoint, etc.

don't know if you'd count this, but a few years ago I was opening a package of something with my Ka-Bar and the back edge cut my thumb. Not a lot of blood, and I didn't realize that I'd cut myself until I felt a little sting.

And just a few days ago I poked myself pretty good on the inside of my right elbow with my RTAK. That one hurt a lot though and bled some.

I know there's a big size difference there, but they're the same basic blade shape: both modified clip points, though the RTAK has a little recurve, but the Ka-Bar has the sharpened false edge.

And I've been bitten by various Buck 110/112s over the years, and they're clip points too.

If this counts, there's my story.
 
Drop points, or spear points depending upon your definition. I got myself in the thumb pretty good with a S&W SWAT and still have the scar from a SAK misadventure. I was young, and didn't appreciate the abilities of a non-locking knife.
 
Over the years I've learned not to lay down an open knife. This usually results in me wacking into it while I'm trying to do whatever I needed to do to put the knife down to do... Did I get that right? Anyway, now I try and always close up the knife before laying it down somewhere.

I've cut myself a fair amount with my knife collection, so I'd say there is a good chance I've been cut more than once with the same blade style.

I've just started learning to whittle / carve and I keep fearing I'll slip and really slice the heck out of myself. I put ridiculous edges on my Queen Large Stockman with D2 steel and if I mess up I'm going to be sliced open big time.
 
The more I think about this... it doesn't really matter what style of blade it is, they're all different and they'll all cut you. I know this thread is just for fun, though. But I doubt I've been cut by more clip points than spear points or whatever points.

The three clip points I mentioned are vastly different knives. The RTAK is 17 inches long, the Ka-Bar is 12 and the Buck 110 is around 8. The 110 is also a folder and they bite me most often on closing (my oldest 110 has an amazingly strong backspring that really kicks closed once it starts to engage... kind of like an assisted closer!).

I do think though, if you look at every blade style, each one wounds us in one way more often than another. So since we (me, at least) are talking about clip points, they seem most likely to poke since the tip is the most pronounced part (it sticks up in some cases). The drop points are more likely to slice... and so on. So maybe there is a little scientific knife wisdom to be gained here.
