Have you ever sold or traded a knife then decided later that you wanted to have that same knife again for whatever reason ?

I had a ZT 0551 that I never quite liked as much as I should have.
I traded it a couple of years ago for a ZT 0301. I carried and used the 0301 but I don't much anymore.
I got a 0550 blem recently and Really like this knife a Lot( can't stop carrying it I like it so much)....................the second time around.

Has this ever happened to you ? What knife or knives ?

I have sold off guns and regretted it but not knifes. I think I may have found my holy grail of knives. It is a Keith Coleman custom folder but to be honest it is a safe queen since Keith has retired from making knives.

My current EDC comes pretty close to my holy grail knife ans that is a small Sebenza, actually it is a Wilson combat small Sebenza. I am thinking that I won't buy another knife for a long time.

I know some of us have traded or sold a knife and bought the same knife again.................................

I sold my PM2 to my cousin, who lost it less than a week later. I want to buy another one, but haven't gotten around to it yet. Just bought a 1311.

Yep. Got a Buck Vantage Pro when they first came out. Liked the knife a lot but a coworker liked it even more so I sold it to him. Within about six months I ordered another one to take it's place. Haven't been without one since.

This may shock a lot of people that have seen pictures of my Benchmade Griptilian collection, but the first Grip' I had, I sold because I didn't care for the handles..........tried another one years later and got hooked.

Gave away a leek and a buck 110 and have replaced both of them. I'll probably end up getting another leek because I preferred my old aluminum liner lock to the steel frame lock version.

My ESEE 3 mil I gave to a co worker who liked it. Then I found myself always wishing I had it with me when backpacking so I worked out a trade and got a new one. This one will be fully customized to my dream knife and will never go anywhere.

I traded my beloved Rift for a Contego. I knew what I was doing though, and I knew (for sure) that it would have to be replaced.

The Contego is great, but the Rift is better.

Gave my buddy my Cold Steel Bowie Bushman even though I really liked the knife. Me and him go way back and he needed a decent outdoor knife. Plus it was our last camping trip together before I moved to CO and he moved up to northern WA. Haven't replaced it yet but I likely will.

Yep - after a year of debate with myself over spending $400+ for a pocket knife - I found a nib Large Sebenza classic at a local gun store and bought it. I sold it due in most part to buyers remorse - I didnt give it a chance.

I ended up buying additional sebenzas, but that was my first, and it was a lucky find as they were not made any more when I stumbled across it in a local gun store.

I also sold two Benchmade Skirmish - they were my only two, along with letting go my Benchmade Rukus. These I wish I held onto.

I also sold my nib Spyderco Military M4 framelock. That one really hurt. I havent been able to pick one of these up for a reasonable price either.

I made a deal with my better half that the collection wont grow in size - Im supposed to sell a few off when I get new ones. That forces some tough decisions.

Its like someone asking you which one of your kids is your favorite.
