Old Germany Knife maker...SMKW bought out the remaining blades from the WWII bombed out factory. Looking for the curved butcher blade. Know where they are? Thanx Chris

They have thE upswept butcher blade blanks listed on their site in a few variations. Haven't seen any of the herder blanks listed anywhere else.

I used to see Herder blanks on eBay regularly. That was a while ago though, and I wouldn't know if they were ever the specific blade you're looking for.

There are several Herders. Friedrich Herder, Richard Herder, Robert Herder, and probably a few others.
Besides the fact they are all German, I don't know of any connection between these names - if there is one.

There's also George L. Herter, who ran a mail order company selling outdoors gear to American sportsmen, among that gear some knives.
I think R. Murphy Co is still making some of "his designs".
