Ever heard of the Shumate Razor Co.?

I've got a friend that came across a straight razor that was made by the Shumate Razor Co. out of St. Louis. The blade folds into a yellow handle and has "Shumate Peacemaker" inscribed on the blade.

He can't find out any info on it. Anybody out there ever heard of it???
